- Account information (email address) when you sign up
- URLs and domains you submit for auditing
- Audit results and scores stored against your account
- Usage data such as pages visited and features used
- A browser cookie fingerprint for unauthenticated (guest) sessions
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide and improve the audit service
- Store your audit history and enable score tracking
- Enforce fair-use limits (e.g., per-domain audit rate limits)

3. Data Storage
Audit data, account details, and feedback messages are stored securely using Supabase (PostgreSQL) hosted infrastructure. We do not sell your data to third parties.
4. Cookies
We use a single session cookie (guest_fingerprint) for unauthenticated users to associate audit results with a browser session. Authenticated users are identified via a Supabase session cookie. Google Analytics is used to track website usage.
5. Third-Party Services
AEO Audit Tools sends queries to AI providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Perplexity, Google) as part of the citation probing feature. URLs you audit may be submitted to these services. Please review their privacy policies before auditing sensitive URLs.
6. Data Retention
Audit results are retained for 1 year while your account is active. You may request deletion of your data by contacting us at the address below. Guest audit data is associated with a browser cookie and may be removed when the cookie expires (30 days). Authenticated user data is retained for as long as your account is active.
